ANGIE HUGHES, FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Angie Hughes is the Founder, CMO & Creative Director of Monarkk, a fractional marketing and brand strategy firm that helps growing companies show up with clarity, confidence, and creative impact. With more than 30 years of experience in marketing communications, Angie blends executive-level strategy with hands-on creative leadership—acting as both a fractional CMO and a brand visionary for her clients.
Before launching Monarkk in 2008, Angie led internal communications for an international technology company and served as Director of Communications for a 4,500-member nonprofit, shaping brand voice, message discipline, and organizational storytelling.
A multidisciplinary strategist and design thinker, Angie has led branding, digital campaigns, website launches, content systems, and SEO-driven marketing programs for organizations across manufacturing, professional services, HR, finance, and consumer brands.
The U.S. Small Business Administration and SCORE have tapped Angie as a subject-matter expert, where she has trained business owners, counselors, and leadership teams on digital marketing, content strategy, and social presence. She has also guest-lectured on marketing strategy in the graduate program at Saint Mary’s University in Minneapolis.
Angie is a Certified Google Ads Professional and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
